Eric W. Brown is an American musician, artist, songwriter, vocalist, drummer and producer. Currently residing in Denver, CO, he has also lived and worked in Nashville, TN (2003–2010) and his hometown of Silver Spring, MD. He is currently active in a number of bands, some of his own creation.

," and participated in several US tours. During their downtime in 2006, he joined forces with virtuoso guitarist Malcolm Lee Pugh (A Loathing Requiem, Diskreet
, Enfold Darkness) in the melodic death metal quartet-turned-quintet Inferi, debuting live at Wall Street in Murfreesboro, TN alongside headliners Destroy Destroy Destroy
, the first of many double-set shows that Eric became known for playing.
In 2007, Eric began to write and produce his own music and shortly thereafter released an EP
under the pseudonym "Rainbowdragoneyes," the name with which his chiptune
compositions would be associated.
Eric parted ways with Destroy Destroy Destroy
in 2008. He later joined up with Stuck Lucky originally as a fill-in, but soon become integrated as a full-time member, recording on the album Possom Soul, the EP Dry Drowning and touring extensively.
2009 saw the downfall of the first iteration of Inferi, the release of his beloved Magic Hammer's debut album "Most Extreme Ultimate Thunder", a slot at the International Pop Overthrow
festival in Chicago, IL drumming for power-pop quartet Wild Bores, a west coast tour with Denver natives Vale of Pnath, 2 shows with Protomen under codename "The Dragon", and a stream of session work at The Bomb Shelter recording studio in Nashville as a drummer and also a background vocalist. Later on in the year he was hired to play drums for post-punk band Nite Nite, fulfilling their local and touring schedules.
In 2010, Eric was becoming more well known for his work as a producer and with his original projects Magic Hammer and Rainbowdragoneyes. Gaining exposure with insightful interviews from blog Denpa no Sekai and Revision3's ByteJacker, an endorsement by The Brooklyn Salsa Company
, and features in local weekly publication the Nashville Scene
including a write-up on the event he organized for Magic Hammer's CD release, which coincided with the Nashville tour stop for chiptune tour The 8bit Alliance. The success of this particular show sparked several other events that were all organized throughout the year which featured both Magic Hammer and Rainbowdragoneyes as headliners.
One of his more well-attended shows was at The End on June 9, 2010 when he booked NY chiptune musician Nullsleep
for the Nashville date of the Collapsed Desires Tour. This show featured Eric performing as Rainbowdragoneyes, Magic Hammer, and also as the newly-reinstated drummer of Destroy Destroy Destroy
, rounding off a night of 3 consecutive performances.
At the close of 2010, Eric relocated to Denver and after a few months into 2011 began playing drums for Collapse with Zac Joe (formerly of Cephalic Carnage
) in addition to being recruited as the full-time drummer for Vale of Pnath, Swashbuckle
and Roniit. In 2011, he received a profile page on Sick Drummer Magazine, acknowledging him as one of the world's premier extreme metal drummers.
Biography
