Due to her father's profession the family did not stay in one place for long: "we were always moving so I went to about ten schools, and I was constantly missing syllabuses and redoing them", she told an interviewer. She also laughed about her "early career" as an amateur actress: " I used my imagination a lot and it was something that came naturally to me."
