. The church website can be found at http://www.stpeters-elworth.org.uk.

In Feb 2010, the church hall (formerly the village school) adjacent to St Peters church was significantly damaged by fire, the cause of which has not been determined but is thought to have been electrical. The church hall was a centre for many local events as well as home to a pre-school nursery and after school club as well as Guides, Brownies and many community groups. After much consultation, it was decided to demolish the original building as it had been too badly damaged and to rebuild with a modern purpose built community centre. The project to clear the site got underway in early 2011 and building work started in May 2011 for a projected completion date of early 2012.

The Methodist Church continues to host the Boys' Brigade, Brownies, Under 4s, two painting groups, badminton as well as providing a temporary refuge to the Over Sixties until our friends in St Peters can rebuild their hall. There is a Saturday Children's Club that meets once a month and is looking to expand its art and craft activities with a Lego club in the near future.
