Pratt became engaged to Aileen Kelly, from Massachusetts (born in Monte Carlo, 1915, died 1976) in 1935, and they had four children, the youngest of which is singer-songwriter Andy Pratt

Pratt died 18 March 1975 in Boston, Massachusetts, aged 61.

Legacy

Through bequests to Buckingham Browne & Nichols, there are the Edwin H. B. Pratt Faculty Fund and the Edwin and Aileen Pratt Faculty Development Fund.
