. Located at 5 Lindsley Street in the community of Falconbridge, the building was constructed in 1969 as the head office for Falconbridge Ltd.

Originally built with 27000 square feet (2,508.4 m²) of office space, the building was expanded to 38000 square feet (3,530.3 m²) in 1995.

 in 2006. On June 28, 2007, Xstrata donated the building, along with $110,000 to cover the cost of renovations and upgrades, to the City of Greater Sudbury to serve as the new home of the city archives.
