History

EcoEléctrica commenced operation on March 21, 2000. It was the first independent power producer in the world to integrate a power plant with a liquefied natural gas terminal. In June 2008, EcoEléctrica started the environmental impact assessment of the LNG terminal modification project, including construction and operation of natural gas pipeline facilities.
