Five Star are a British pop / R&B group, formed in 1983. Comprising siblings Stedman, Lorraine, Denise, Doris and Delroy Pearson, they were known for their flamboyant image, matching costumes and heavily choreographed dance routines...

. The album was an internet only release as a thank you to Five Star's loyal fans, and therefore not chart eligible. It was released on CD only in the US and UK through Five Star's USA fan club; run by their then manager and father, Buster Pearson. The CD was a professionally printed disc, with CD booklet including sleeve notes and track information. The art work was exclusively designed by buster Pearson.

There was only one single issued from the album, Funktafied. Once again, this could only be purchased from the fan club

Eclipse is Five Star's last Studio album to date.

Some of the tracks from Eclipse are songs that appeared on their 1994 album, Heart and Soul, but are included in a slightly remixed form or as an alternative version.
