, the township has a total area of 6.1 square miles (15.8 km²), of which, 6.1 square miles (15.8 km²) of it is land and 0.16% is water. East Norriton was recognized by Business Week as one of the nation's top five Best Affordable Suburbs in 2009. East Norriton is a former farming community 8 miles north of Philadelphia's city limits. It has a mix of stores, offices, industrial areas, single-family homes, and apartments. The nearest large shopping mall is the Plymouth Meeting Mall, just four miles away. The township is situated on the US-202 corridor, north of King of Prussia and the Municipality of Norristown. East Norriton has an amazing little league program.
