History

East Bakersfield High School was built in 1938 and is the second oldest high school in Bakersfield.

The school was named an "All American School" for contributions to the community, and was a California Distinguished School

All students enrolled at EBHS must receive at least 220 credits to graduate. Also, every student who graduates must pass the CAHSEE
