The Mühlbach flows into the Steindöbra approximately near former meter-gauge freight depot Sachsenberg-Georgenthal. The Steindöbra unites with the Brunndöbra near Königsplatz (formerly Karl-Marx-Platz; before that Wettinplatz), flowing on as the Döbra.

The Döbra finally flows into the Zwota, which continues as the German-Czech border river.

A large portion of its course, the Döbra runs side by side with the dismantled meter-gauge Klingenthaler Schmalspurbahn.
