and Ed's former wife Leslie Jackson. He grew up in Springfield, before leaving town to attend college and medical school. He returned to Springfield after graduating to do his residency at Cedars (as his father Ed had done), and remained for many years after that.
He is currently played by actor Michael O'Leary

Rick is a doctor at the free clinic in Clayton, a doctor at Cedars Hospital in Springfield and the former Medical Examiner at Cedars. He at one point in time resided with his friends Gus and Harley. By 2008 he had returned to living at the Bauer family home. He was recently married to and divorced from Elizabeth "Beth" Raines Spaulding. Per a flash forward in the final episode of Guiding Light, Rick and Mindy Lewis
will be married around September 2010.
