from 1975. She served as secretary to the municipal council of Mercedes between 1989 and 1991 before being elected as a councillor herself in 1991 for the UCR. From 1995 until her election as Senator in 2003, she served as Director of Culture for Mercedes. Her term as Senator expired on December 10, 2009.
