Once again Gerardo made an album composed entirely of lyrics in Spanish. The album was less influenced by Latin music than his previous works, adding more elements of pop-rap and dance-pop music. The album garnered no hits and no videos were filmed.

This would be Gerardo's last album in six years, until 2001's Fame, Sex y Dinero
