Departures
Encyclopedia
Departures is an adventure travel television series. An original Canadian production, the show aired on OLN from March 17, 2008 to June 19, 2010. The show is hosted by Scott Wilson and Justin Lukach, produced by Jessie Wallace and Steven N. Bray, and directed/shot by Andre Dupuis.

Overview

The show features high-school friends Scott Wilson and Justin Lukach travelling to various locations in the world, accompanied by camera operator and director Andre Dupuis, whom Wilson met in film school. Show co-creator Andre Dupuis has said that he and Wilson worked on another show, but that it seemed "kind of dry", and that it was not carrying across the feelings that they had, thinking he and Wilson "could probably do a better job". Wilson said the three travel with only backpacks, and they are said to choose "the most off-the-trail destinations they could dream up." The show has been described as being about the journey, rather than just the destinations.
