He was initially electric guitarist, violonist and violoncellist (he plays about it besides in certain rare songs). He then integrated as a guitarist the group of punk Christian Tasty Snax, become The Snax, which he left for his higher learning with the ULCA.
Linkin Park
Over there it divided its room with Brad Delson which became his/her friend. They were involved and repeated together during their spare time (they would have even learned how together to lead) and Brad proposed to him to join its SuperXero group as a bass guitarist. Phoenix accepted and joined Brad, Rob Bourdon and Mike Shinoda in 1996. At the same time as arrived to him the DJ Joe Hahn, brought back by Mike. The group shortens its name with Xero and they recruited the singer Mark Wakefield. Phoenix remained in the group (become Hybrid Theory on arrival of Chester Bennington which replaced Mark), until 1998, after the group already composed some songs for their album Hybrid Theory. It appears for the first time in the video of the Crawling song of the album Hybrid Theory.
It then had to leave in round with its old group The Snax, whose guitarist Mark Fiore is since cinematograph of Linkin Park. It was replaced by interim by Kyle Christener for the complete recording of Hybrid Theory EP, which enabled them to sign their first contract at Warner in 1999. For the recording of the first true album of the famous group Linkin Park, Brad had to do itself the basic parts with the assistance of Ian Hornbeck, and it is Scott Koziol which one sees with low in the 1st clip of the group, One Step Closer.
It returned at the beginning of 2001 and made its first appearance in the 2nd clip of the group, Crawling, and could leave for the first true world tour Linkin Park, which it will not leave any more. He is recently father of a little girl with his Linsey wife.
