Daniel Filipe Martins Carriço (born August 4, 1988 in Cascais) is a Portuguese footballer who currently plays with Sporting Clube de Portugal, as a central defender.

Club career
A product of Sporting Clube de Portugal's prolific youth ranks, Carriço made his professional debuts in 2007-08, splitting that season, on loan, to both S.C. Olhanense and Cyprus' AEL Limassol.
Having returned to Sporting, he made his first division debut on October 26, 2008, replacing injured Tonel in a 0-0 draw at F.C. Paços de Ferreira, and securing a starting place even after the latter became available.
International career
As a youth international, Carriço appeared at the 2007 UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship, where he was elected as one of the best players, after netting twice in just three matches (Portugal did not go through the group stage).The following year, he progressed into the under-21s.
