Dalatiidae is a family of sharks, commonly known as sleeper sharks. They are found worldwide.
All members of the family except for the Pacific sleeper shark, Somniosus pacificus, have luminescent organs. These are mostly located on the fish's underside, and appear as small dots. The sharks in this family vary greatly in size, from the smallest of all sharks, the dwarf lantern shark, at in adult body length, to the large Greenland shark, at up to in length.

Subfamilies, Tribes, and Species
In some classifications this family includes the genera Centrophorus, Cirrhigaleus and Deania but this article follows FishBase in placing those genera in the families Centrophoridae (Centrophorus and Deania) and Squalidae (Cirrhigaleus).
In other classifications, including that used at FishBase, the subfamilies are raised to the level of the families Etmopteridae, Oxynotidae, and Somniosidae.
