The Longo Planetarium

The Longo Planetarium (formally the Madeline D. and Joseph J. Longo Planetarium), is a 91-seat dome theater, and features a Digistar 4 SP2 HD Digital Projector.

In addition to serving astronomy classes on campus, the Longo Planetarium offers public showings for education and entertainment.

In addition to its adult services, CCM also has a robust summer camp program for middle and high school students. The summer program includes courses in rocketry, astronomy, math, science, and history.

The student body consists of more than 8,500 undergraduate students. There are over forty student clubs on campus.

Smoking ban

The County College of Morris is a Smoke-Free campus as of January 1, 2007. It is one of the first public colleges to ban smoking entirely. The decision to ban smoking was a project of the 2005-2006 Student Government Association, claiming that by having designated smoking areas, the university is silently promoting it. A study that shows bans help to encourage people to quit smoking, and health effects related to tobacco smoke further support the ban.
