Shoulder sleeve insignia (SSI) are cloth emblems worn on the shoulders of U.S. Army uniforms to identify the primary headquarters to which a soldier is assigned. Corps are high level field commands, or can alternately be used to describe entire Combat Support and Combat Service Support branches (as in "the Military Police Corps").
