The fort was never used in military actions even during the Second World War: the only gun shots which were fired at a German column that went along the opposite bank of the lake after the fort was occupied by the partisans. It was later used as a weapons depot and eventually transferred to the state property

Visitors of the fort can now observe the architectural, technical and organizational reasons, some of which are quite innovative for its time. The main attraction of the fort is still represented by the armament: four gun
