History

Club Atlético Provincial was founded on 25, May, 1903, in Rosario as an association football club. The club would become multi-sports with the creation of an athletics section seven years later.

Rugby would follow suit in 1928. That same year Provincial would become one of the founding clubs of the Unión de Rugby de Rosario
