Princess Chulabhorn of Thailand or Chulabhorn Walailak, born July 4, 1957 in Bangkok, is a Princess of Thailand, the youngest daughter of HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej and HM Queen Sirikit of Thailand. As royal princess, she is styled Her Royal Highness.
Education HRH Princess Chulabhorn studied Chemistry and graduated in 1979 from the Faculty of Science at Kasetsart University, with a Bachelor of Science, First Class Honours.

Princess Chulabhorn of Thailand or Chulabhorn Walailak, born July 4, 1957 in Bangkok, is a Princess of Thailand, the youngest daughter of HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej and HM Queen Sirikit of Thailand. As royal princess, she is styled Her Royal Highness.
Education HRH Princess Chulabhorn studied Chemistry and graduated in 1979 from the Faculty of Science at Kasetsart University, with a Bachelor of Science, First Class Honours. She continued to study Science at Mahidol University, where she received her Doctorate in 1985.
She is heavily involved in the promotion of scientific research, and regularly gives awards and prizes. She held the position of a guest lecturer in Chemistry at the Mahidol University. She also serves as the President of the Chulabhorn Research Institute. She was awarded the UNESCO Einstein Medal for her efforts in promoting scientific collaboration in 1986 and was the first Asian to be invited to join the Royal Society of Chemistry in England as an Honorary Fellow.
Marriage and family
She married Royal Thai Air Force Flight Lieutenant Virayudh Didyasarin (currently a Air Vice Marshal]), a commoner, in 1982. According to royal custom, she would lose her title when marrying a man of lesser position. However, she was granted a special permission by her father to keep her rank of [[Chao Fa]]. From this marriage, which eventually ended in divorce, she has two daughters:
Currently, she has been in a relationship with Chaichon Locharernkul (M.D), a professor at the Faculty of Medicine at Chulalongkorn University, of which the Princess herself has specialization in epileptology. They often appear together in public places both in Thailand and abroad, but a formal engagement between him and the Princess has not been made public nor has it been made official. He has always accompanied her, as Chulabhorn continues to be involved in many areas and travels extensively abroad as well, mostly in Asia and the Pacific region.
