The Cardiff School Of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies at Cardiff University
was founded in 1970 by Sir Tom Hopkinson
and as such is the longest established postgraduate centre of journalism education in Europe. It is considered one of the best training centres for journalists in Britain and is described as the "Oxbridge of journalism".
