Synopsis

In the aftermath of the Dominion War, Captain Kirk and Captain Picard decide to take an archeological vacation in the Bajor system, which is near Deep Space Nine

. An accident strands the duo and everyone else on the expedition. Picard goes missing and one of the children becomes severely ill. It is up to Kirk to save the situation. He delves deep into his memories of a much earlier situation, which corresponds to his current predicament. Clues arise that something that threatens the universe is behind all the related events.
