Synopsis

The Romulan Star Empire is deeply unstable, which leads to Spock making a concentrated effort to reunite them with their biological ancestors, the Vulcans. During the midst of a speech, Spock is seemingly assassinated.

Kirk organizes an investigation mission deep into Romulan territory, assisted by Captain Picard, William Riker and several other Enterprise veterans. His five year old son, Joseph, is also along for the mission. While the destabilized empire offers threats of his own, Kirk finds an even deeper conspiracy.
