League Table Performance
In 2007, 52% of pupils achieved 5 A*-C grades at GCSE against a national average of 46.7% and a county average of 42.3%. This places it 14th out of 43 schools in Northamptonshire at GCSE level. In the same year, the school gained 884.2 out of 1323.5 possible QCA points. This places it 5th out of 43 schools in Northamptonshire at AS/A2 level. The school has a 1.2% unauthorised absence rate (generally either truancy or holidays taken in term time which have not been agreed with the school), which is lower than the national and local averages of 1.4% and 1.6% respectively. The school had an OFSTED inspection under the current headmaster in early 2008. The results were published on 4 March 2008. The report concluded that "Achievement in the main school is inadequate overall; students do not make sufficient progress. In the sixth form, it is outstanding".
Campion Radio
Campion School had a school radio which was hosted by students. It was purportedly a pre-chosen play list played on quietspeakers in the school's main hall, with the occasional interjection from students. More recently certain students have started playing music at lunchtimes over the hall's speaker system with the consent of the school teachers.
