History


Campbelltown Stadium has been used for top level rugby league since 1987 when the Western Suburbs Magpies made the move from their inner western base of Lidcombe

. At that time the ground was known as Orana Park. The Magpies had made the move in a bid to provide a more assured future as their new home was based in a rapidly expanding area in the outer south-west of Sydney. A new leagues club was developed next to the ground.

Current use


The Stadium is still home to the Western Suburbs Magpies, and is used on an occasional basis by the Wests Tigers, with four of their twelve annual home games played there, in accordance with their stadium deals.
