. However, official camp stationary and addresses imply the geographical location to be Casco, ME, even though it is, in fact, Otisfield. The camp's main goal is to teach girls to be strong physically and emotionally through fun outdoor activities, kind staff members, and encouraging strong friendships with other girls of all ages. Camp Arcadia is the absolute best place a girl could be over the summer. Every girl should be able to experience the amazing summers at Arcadia. Every girl who goes to Arcadia is guaranteed to make true friendships that will last forever, learn valuable outdoor skills, and just have an all around great time being goofy and not worrying what anyone else thinks about them.

History

Camp Arcadia was founded in 1916 by George Meylan. As of 2011 the camp was owned and operated by Meylan's family.
The owners now are Anne Fritts and Louise Henderson and Louise Fritts Johnson.
Otisfield is about 45 minutes from Portland, Maine

Program

Camp Arcadia accepts girls aged 7–17 for programs lasting between one and seven weeks. The Arcadian program is based around teaching each girl that they should plan and carry out their own individual program and attain proficiency with guidance.
