Corruption in CCTV-4 Overseas Programs

CCTV-4 had launched several attempts to provide free TV program worldwide. However, it hired friends and family members took the money and using those opportunity to make huge profit for themselves. Around year 2000, CCTV-4 offered free TV programs through satellite. CCTV-4 then was no longer broadcast over the free satellite. Chinese people living in USA wrote letters to the Chinese government complained for shutdown free TV programs, since almost all countries around the world offer free TV programs to their people living aboard. Around 2010, CCTV-4 paid WCETV (operated by friends and relative of CCTV officers) to carry its program over off-air through KVMD
