The club was founded in 1924 as C.S. Visétois and received the matricule number 369 from the Belgian Football Association

. Their first spell in national football was in 1948-49, and their remained at this level for two consecutive seasons. Starting from the 1960s, the club will play several seasons in the Belgian Promotion

 via the promotion playoff. They played two consecutive seasons at this level, then were relegated, to come back the next year in the second division, this time for 4 consecutive seasons. The were promoted to second division in the season 2009/2010 and they now play the second division for the second consecutive season.

In April 2011 the club has been purchased by the Indonesian investor Adika Nuraga Bakrie, that currently holds the post of chairman.
The new investor has annnounced a plan of upgrading infrastructures and a mid term target to reach first division.

Moreover three Indonesian players coming from an Indonesian club based in Uruguay (where it participates to the youth leagues U17 and U19) have joined the club: Yericho Cristiantoko, Yandi Munawar and Alfin Tuasalamony.

The management has been entrusted to Roberto Regis Milano as CEO, Carlos Molinari as CFO, Giuseppe Accardi as sport consultant and sport director, Federico Molinari as General Manager of the team.
