2011 train disruption


Some 630 passengers had to alight from an MRT train at Bugis station on 21 Jan 2011 at about 3.30pm when smoke started coming out from one of the cabins. SMRT said the smoke could have been due to a gas leak from an air conditioner and posed no danger. With the train was taken out of service. passengers were delayed for about six minutes in their journey as they had to wait for the next train.
