. The sixth form common room was opened much later at the end of the 08/09 year due to the old "clc building" being reallocated as the ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) Centre. The old buildings have now been demolished and landscaped.

The school has learning communities named: cougar, panther, leopard, lynx, serval, puma and jaguar. Each community operates as a 'school-within-a-school', leading to improved human-scale learning.
