During this episode, Lisa's mother Connie (portrayed by Jenny O'Hara) was recruited to help take care of the children. This occurred after she visited the family in the episode Gobblegook for a Thanksgiving

Eventually, a mother-daughter screaming match occurs and it has surprising results for both Connie and Lisa Ann. Meanwhile, back at the office, Lisa finds herself in hot water when she defies Mr. Nash's order to plead a case and not take it to court. Not only does the case blow up in her face, with Mr. Nash there to see it, but he lays down the law: one more slip-up and she gets the pink slip.
