In 1952 Boris Korneev graduated from Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after Ilya Repin in Viktor Oreshnikov workshop. He studied of Boris Fogel, Genrikh Pavlovsky, Semion Abugov, Andrey Mylnikov.

Since 1952 Boris Korneev has participated in Art Exhibitions. He painted portraits, genre pintings, landscapes, and still lifes. His personal exhibitions were in Leningrad
