Black grama (Bouteloua eriopoda), is a perennial prairie grass, native to the Southwestern United States. Although good forage for livestock, the grass has a minimal tolerance for grazing and is frequently killed by overgrazing. It has low seed viability, reproducing mainly by stolons.
