It was first settled in 1977 as a Nahal settlement

 and later became a civilian-inhabited village in 1979. Nowadays there are more than 60 families who live in the village. Part of them live in the kibbutz, part of them live in private houses in the communal neighborhood and part of them rents houses in the kibbutz.
