. It is very old and largest market established during the time of Qutb Shahi rule.Begum Bazar is located two kilometers from the Naya Pul bridge in the Old City. It is an age old retail and wholesale market for household commodities. Of late, several brassware merchants have set up shop in the Begum Bazar.House old commodities of all sizes, shapes and brands at the best prizes are available. Begum bazar also hosts the second biggest Fish Market of Hyderabad after the fish market at Musheerabad.

The adjoining Moazzam Jahi market is the largest fruit and vegetable market in the city. This market is being slowly replaced by the market at Kothapet which is there beyond Dilsukhnagar.

History

Land gifted by Humda Begum ( the wife of Nizam Ali Khan Nizamul Mulk) to the merchants of Hyderabad for trade and commerce, finally developed as Begum Bazar.
