Hunt For Bass

On 14 September 2010, Basshunter announced on his website that he would be running a contest. First prize was a record deal with Extensive Music Sweden. The contest had no official contract but instead, contestants emailed a song they wrote to Extensive Music who would then choose the best song. The artist of the song chosen would then receive a record deal. The Winner was Ali Nadem with his song Electro Champion which has over half a million views on YouTube.

Controversies

Extensive Music has put all of the artists' submissions on YouTube and have also placed advertisements on the videos of the artists' songs through the YouTube partner program. Doing so allows Extensive Music to monetize on the songs written by the contestants while the contestants get none of the profits. This has led to a feeling of anger from many of the contestants, as the closing date for the contest has already passed, and they feel Extensive Music has no right to profit from the artists' songs. Any comments made on Extensive Music Sweden's YouTube channel, or Basshunter's website regarding this have been deleted.
