Southern Extreme Championship Wrestling & Independent Circuit

Buchanan is involved in the independent scene in GA with Southern Extreme Championship Wrestling, which is owned and ran by Scott East. East also runs a bar and grill in Villa Rica, GA called "The Watering Hole". Buchanan, teaming with SECW World Heavyweight Champion Rob Adonis, is currently involved in a feud with Cru Jones, "Bunkhouse Buck" Jimmy Golden, and Death Row, and he is set to appear June 12 at an SECW show, once again, alongside Rob Adonis, to culminate the current feud.
In October 2009 Buchanan debuted for Rampage Pro Wrestling in Warner Robins, Georgia. He defeated Micah Taylor within his 1st month to win the heavy-weight title. During his reign he defeated challengers such as former TNA star Austin "Consequences" Creed. In May Buchanan traveled to Japan where he successfully defended the belt. Buchanan held the title until June 2010 when he lost the belt to the returning Shaun Banks Afterwards Buchanan went on a 6 month hiatus from the company before returning in December to team with J-Rod to take on his old rivals Hot Like Lava. In January at Reloaded Buchanan was unsuccessful in capturing the heavy-weight title in a 4-corners match between himself, the champion Banks, Cru Jones, and the eventual winner J-Rod. On February 19 Buchanan won a 30-man battle royal to become number one contender for the heavy-weight title. In March RPW became a member of the National Wrestling Alliance. On April 2 Buchanan was defeated by J-Rod in Atlanta, Georgia at the Dragon Gate USA show. Buchanan's kicked out before the 3, but the referee called for the bell thinking he didn't. Buchanan received a rematch against J-Rod at Memorial Mayhem 2(May 1) where he won the title. On May 29 Buchanan had his 1st successful title defense against Corey Hollis.
