Progress

Currently an environmental impact assessment for the MRT Pink Line is expected to go to the cabinet late this year. Also the director-general of the Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning has said in an interview that the pink line was considered a priority scheme, as it ran past the government complex.

The rail system was originally intended to be a duo-track monorail, but studies are now underway to convert the proposed line into heavy rail. While these plans are underway, construction for the Pink line is expected to be delayed by several months.
