ABB Acquisition

On November 30, 2010, ABB Ltd. and Baldor Electric announced that ABB Ltd. will acquire Baldor Electric in a deal worth $4.2 billion.. The deal includes $1.1 billion in debt. The shareholders of Baldor will receive $63.50 for each share of Baldor Electric common stock. Numerous law firms have announced investigations as to the alleged fairness of the deal.
