Musically, the album features the same mixture of rap songs with some containing elements of salsa music. But unlike his two previous efforts, Así Es is his first album to be composed entirely of songs in Spanish.

Videos were filmed for "Arroz con Carne" and "María Elisa". "Arroz con Carne" got a moderate level of success.
