History

In 1997, during a trek operated by Tropical Trails on behalf of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC), participants recognised the need for a project that would:
  • assist rural communities, primarily children
  • improve access to education and health programmes
  • increase the awareness of environmental issues
  • preserve culture and tradition


The Arusha Children's Trust was registered as a charity in the UK at the beginning of 1998.
