Si Chomphu is a district (Amphoe) of Khon Kaen Province, northeastern Thailand.
district was established as a minor district (King Amphoe) on July 1 1965, when the three tambon Si Suk, Si Chomphu and Na Chan from Chum Phae district. It was upgraded to a full district on March 1 1969.
Originally the district was spelled "???????" in Thai, also read "Si Chomphu".
hboring districts are (from the north clockwise) Si Bun Rueang of Nongbua Lamphu Province, Nong Na Kham, Wiang Kao and Chum Phae of Khon Kaen Province, and Phu Kradueng of Loei Province.
