Whilst king he did develop naval strength for an attack against Aegina, this having occurred about the year 670 B.C. Due to his tyranny, there was an uprising of slaves, these having moved to Mount Karvouni from here launching attacks upon the king. This continued until some kind of settled agreement was reached allowing the slaves to move and live instead in Ephesus
