Canadian Forces military police

Although 39 Canadian Brigade Group has no integral Military Police (MP) unit, army military police support in British Coluimbia is provided by 12 Platoon of 15 Military Police Company of 1 Military Police Unit, headquartered in Canadian Forces Base Edmonton.

12 Platoon has its platoon headquarters at the Colonel Sherman Armoury in Richmond and also an element stationed at the Lieutenant General EC Ashton Armoury in Victoria. 12 Platoon is a Primary Reserve military police platoon, part of the Primary Reserve 15 Military Police Company within 1 Military Police Unit, which is a composite Regular and Reserve unit. Other Reserve platoons in 15 Military Police Company are: 13 Platoon in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Canadian Forces Base Shilo and 14 Platoon in Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta.

Intelligence services for 39 CBG are provided by the Vancouver detachment of 6 Intelligence Company. The unit headquarters is at CFB Edmonton
