380   Tyconius writes commentary on the Bible's Book of Revelation.

405   Saint Jerome publishes the Vulgate Bible.

1314   The Mappa Mundi (Map of the World) is made. It showed Jerusalem at the centre, as decreed in the Bible.

1522   The third edition of the Textus Receptus of the Bible published.

1526   First official translation of the New Testament of the Bible in Swedish (cf 1541).

1535   The first complete English-language Bible is printed, with translations by William Tyndale and Miles Coverdale.

1541   The first official translation of the entire Bible in Swedish

1580   Publication of the Ostrog Bible, the first complete printed Bible in a Slavic language.

1584   The first translation of the complete Bible into Slovenian language: ''Bibilija, tu je vse svetu pismu stariga inu noviga testamenta, slovenski tolmacena skuzi Jurija Dalmatina'' (Wittenberg), i.e. The Bible, it is a Complete Holy Scripture of the Old and of the New Testament, Translated into Slovenian by Jurij Dalmatin.

1588   William Morgan's Welsh translation of the Bible published.

1611   Complete King James Version of the Bible is first published in England.

1852   Justin Perkins, an American Presbyterian missionary, produces the first translation of the Bible in Assyrian Neo-Aramaic, which is published with the parallel text of the Syriac Peshitta by the American Bible Society

1901   American Standard Version Bible first published.

1983   U.S. President Ronald Reagan proclaims 1983 "The Year of the Bible".
