Messier Object M77 is a Galaxy which was discovered by Pierre Méchain in 1780. It has an angular size of 7 x 6 arc minutes.

M77 is located within the borders of the constellation Cetus at Right Ascension 02 42.7 and Declination -00 01. It is 60,000 light years from the planet Earth making it the 94th furthest Messier Object from Earth.
