Description

Overview:
Messier Object M71 is a Globular Cluster which was discovered by Philippe Loys de Chéseaux in 1745-1746. It has an angular size of 7.2 arc minutes.

Location:
M71 is located within the borders of the constellation Sagitta at Right Ascension 19 53.8 and Declination 18 47. It is 12,700 light years from the planet Earth which makes it the 45th furthest Messier Object from Earth.

Brightness:
In relation to the other Messier Objects, M71 is a dim deep space object with a brightness rating of 8.2.
