The Messier Object M7 is a Open Cluster discovered by Ptolemy in 130 AD. It has an angular size of 80 arc minutes.

Location:
M7 is located inside the constellation Scorpius at RA 17 53.9 and Declination -34 49. It is 800 light years from Earth which makes it the 4th furthest Messier Object from Earth.
